The project will consider and integrate different

  • platforms (satellite, unmanned aerial vehicle, land-based)
  • sensors (imaging, ranging, radar, etc.)
  • techniques (photogrammetry, scanning, etc.) and
  • algorithms

to deliver an innovative fusion methodology applicable also to other application fields. Sensor fusion and data integration techniques will be used to improve the results of single methods in order to assess the capabilities of a combination of monitoring approaches.

Satellite, unmanned aerial vehicle, terrestrial laser scanning and ground imaging acquisitions will be conducted in spring after snow melt, summer, and autumn before snow cover, possibly in the days. With this multi-temporal acquisition strategy, landslide activating processes from winter and summer seasons will be investigated separately on the base of multiple information.
